There were small boats that ferried people to and from the gaping mouth of the cave entrance. They floated on the surface of the water with ease with only a gentle push from a single oar needed to keep a steady pace. Down or up the river seemed to have no difference as those going opposite directions had just as easy a time moving as the other. The cave's only light was visible once inside. The reflection of the water's glow was sharpened by the stalagmites that hung down from above. Giving an array of waving lights that gave a visible sense of the water's calmness and beauty.
The light at the end of the cave's tunnel gave sight to the greenery and light shining from the sands. The river continued through a wonderful healthy forest of trees uncommon to those typically found in Vrondi. These trees had brown fruits furry but very large. Smaller fruits were quickly eaten by the colorful birds that moved through the treetops. Only going deeper did one end at the calm docks where other boats waited for passengers. The small beachside city of Tearia was home to many that did not prefer the deep waters of Tearia's capital city.
Only those with physical ability transported themselves to the main city by simply swimming there. Soldiers, warriors of Tearia, armored from horned head to webbed toe, stepped from the waters onto the beach. They wielded their technology in hand and even seemed partly connected to it. These were the few who did not need support from transport bubbles. Instead, it seemed they were transporting others as many giant bubbles hit the surface from below behind them.
These bubbles rolled out to the beach and once reaching the sand they popped and the people inside stepped down on fresh sand entirely dry save for the rainbow mist from the popped bubbles. These people went forward guided by the guards into the city. The bubbles had pockets of air inside that allowed comfortable dry transport. They emerged from the capital city's dome top. This massive dome let those inside live a life without fear of the outer ocean and its many beasts.
Yet inside the dome was not very different from the waters outside of it. Strange, breathable air, no water, no.. It was a combination of the two. Those not born with the Lassa blood to breathe underwater were allowed to breathe easily inside this dome. This combined with the low gravity within allowed one to swim as if the air were the sea.
High above the glowing city, well illuminated by electrical lights lined throughout its entirety, was the castle of Tearia's royals. Its shape was strange yet fluid, like mercury. Flawless in its massive tear-like shape. "Perhaps we have taken advantage of what was left of this world after the great war. But is this greed? I wonder." The Queen of Tearia, Tydra Nept, stood high above with other royals as they listened to Sophia's message. She was adorned with elegant armor, it vibrated with the soft hum of electrical power. Her honed shapes seemed more akin to a warrior than a Queen.
The clear metallic surface of the Queen's hall was flawlessly crafted with no edges or sharp corners. Instead it was entirely smooth and required no use of gravity to get up or down. Even still the royals inside hugged the floor, bowing to their Queen who stood high above on a platform that moved as if it were made of liquid. Balls of reflective metal also floated around like eyes. Allowing royals looking through projection screens to attain better sight of the Queen's expression high above.
"Those that dance their wicked dances in the shadows of our land have not been a concern of ours. Instead, we chose to look beyond such petty deeds. However, it seems it has come to a head. Nuxta is the result and we are all paying the price for allowing the wickedness in this world go unchecked." She clutched her armored hands into a fist. In her grasp was the necklace she wore around her neck always. God's presence, it was called. A gift from the first seraphim passed down throughout Tearia's generations.
"If I could give only one thing to absolve us of this failure I'll gladly do so." She raised the necklace to the air. Her fellow royals bowed to its presence and her gesture. "However if our sins are so great can we be absolved by simply surrendering? Or will Nuxta require more from us? Will he summon his mother to restore the world for us to inherit. Or will we be annihilated?" She closed her eyes sighing deeply. "I will speak to Nuxta and decide for myself what is best. I will prepare myself for whatever must be done." She began to rise from her platform. The metallic spheres floating under her moving her to where hooded figures stood. They wore the Magoi's symbols on their cloaks.
"Nuxta will be only a step forward. Tearia will make a new world."
