The blood turned to mist as it came into contact with the Sureiya's armor. The blood was turned to minuscule, brittle, charred remains. Ingested by Dremmick's manipulation to choking meal, but not enough to do more than making the warrior cough.
The bloody mist however temporarily blinded him. This allowed Nailah's attempts on his armor to eventually succeed. If not for her focus on striking between his armor. This time the blood mist that sprayed into the air was his own blood. The claws of Nailah pierced his back knee and caused him to fall on it. Kneeling now into the coins they began to meld into bubbling masses of superheated gold.
With an opening and the smoke clearing, it was no doubt this was the best opportunity to attack him. Jumping from the smoke was the revived wyvkin Dremmick so desperately tried to heal. In her arms was the tooth of the fallen dragon struck by the slayer's long-distance attack. She slammed it into the warrior's flexible neck armor, which looked far less durable.
With the tooth in his neck, more blood came out but only turned to mist in the intense heat like before. The wyvkin was visibly still severely injured. Her wounds still visible and slowly ripping back apart. She looked to Dremmick and Nailah with a small smile, whilst still trying to drive the tooth into the man. "Thank you..." She said softly before the hand of the Sureiya grasped the tooth she held onto, broke it to pieces with a simple squeeze. Then she collapsed, her body seeming to fail her. But a smile still on her face.
Despite all of the damage, the warrior did not fall. Instead, he roared with an invigorated fury. A blast of flame erupting out from his body burning all around him with intense heat. It could even be felt from those near the cave's entrance. After doing so the warrior's body and armor were steaming and his body's insane heat cooled down. He now began to stand as if his wounds were healing, which they were, rapidly.
His armor began to fall off, steaming from the heat. His body under the armor was as imagined, hulking yet lean, top-heavy but balanced. Leaner than most big brutes but easily a contender. He breathed in gently, the heat of the large room being sucked away instantly, even Nailah's flames. His body's outline became visible, a searing heat like before it held but without the armor, he seemed far more maneuverable.
"Dragon Dance!" With the combat skill of a seasoned veteran fighter, he challenged both Dremmick and Nailah's attacks. Nailah's illusions and Dremmick's blood magic were only capable of keeping them away from his unreal speed and explosive strikes. As if every punch or kick he made came with a large body of flames either whirling around him like a flaming tornado or shooting out like flaming balls of fire. The damage inside the cave starting to become unmanageable for the mountain's innards and the entrance began to cave in.
It was then the mountain top grew more silent. The thunderous roars of the Dragon Queen were no more. Her body lay on the tip of the mountain like a carving. The Sureiya were victorious. The Queen's body began to glow. The warriors backed away with caution but the golden was quite pleasing to see. It was a mystery as to what was happening and it could be seen in the warrior's demeanor as they now approached.
The form of a woman, a peculiar but descendant type of woman, lay where the queen once was. Her elegant body and form almost seraphim if not for the scales, wings, and horns. Her scales were almost like multicolored jewels in the light. Her bleeding wound on her neck visible even like this. "What a sight. She's a prize worthy of the King, shame his son took it." One of the Sureiya chuckled. The one ahead of them, the one with golden hair and wings walked closer to the fallen Queen and knelt down next to her.
"If not for our blades preventing her from healing we certainly wouldn't be seeing her like this. A form not natural to her, likely given to her by Nuxta. Or developed to garner our sympathy. Either way, she's doing us a favor. Now we don't have to carve her up to move her to the capital." The man then stood to his feet and looked down the deep hole that led inside the mountain. "I haven't noticed till now.. There's a battle going on in there."
Without another word, he leaped down. Soaring through the narrow tunnel and landing on the ascending stair platform that led to the sought-after hammer. "Prince Leonaix!" The warrior Dremmick and Nailah was battling froze, he paused, and despite his wounds from the two he knelt down and bowed to the man who recently entered. Leonaix, as he said, looked at the hammer and then down to those below. "Your Queen has been captured!" He began walking down the stairs looking at Nailah and then Dremmick.
"You two don't appear to be wyvkin. Dragonkin yes, but." He looked to Nailah. "Hmm.." He looked at her briefly up and down. "You seem familiar even. But this one." He looked to Dremmick. "He stinks of blood and death." With a finger, he drew his blade partway. The bright light from it flashed before a sudden slash down Dremmick's middle was made and the warrior bowing to Leonaix grabbing Nailah from behind to hold her. Using the distraction to find the real her.
After slashing Dremmick a cage of fire surrounded him. "With this I can properly speak to you. I'll have you know I do not hate dragonkin." He began to walk up the staircase. "The hammer Nuxta wanted. But couldn't bring himself to steal from his dragon allies. Now we possess it. A bargaining piece." He grabbed it and lifted it with ease. It was large enough to throw over his shoulder. "It's time to go home."
Outside the cave, Sureiya soldiers began to drop from the sky and began landing around the dragon nest. A few directly landed near Olivia and the others. "In the name of Fotia, the Sureiya, and the King! Drop all weapons! Or die!" They shouted. Their massive weapons in their hands ready to strike, others in the farther back could be seen holding long distanced weapons at the ready. The alliance was, for the most part, apprehended.
Soon they were lifted and taken to Fotia. Those that did not comply were severely damaged. Such as the few wyvernkin who were taken with them. Only under the name of the alliance were they allowed to be questioned instead of imprisoned immediately. All except for Dremmick, who was in a prison cell being guarded by Sureiya soldiers in the back of the ship with wyvernkin were.
The others were allowed to sit where the sureiya soldiers kept patrol. Under constant watch. Only Nailah and Algimar were taken to the captain's room. There Leonaix sat with his armor removed, revealing his elegant seraphim-like appearance. He was far from a brute like the other Sureiya. "So.. I have to apologize for my rudeness. In the heat of battle, it's hard to decipher friend from foe in the chaos. So I take precautions where I deem necessary." He sighed shaking his head. "I hope you can understand and forgive."
Algimar looked to Nailah uncomfortably. Just how would she react?
"As a representative of Nero, we are thankful for your arrival." He gently bowed. "Stop it I'm not your prince," Leonaix said, still looking to Nailah.
"Hmm.. You folk. Well some of ya look familiar.." A few Sureiya said to each other as they passed Allard and Olivia on patrols. Others looked to Lynn with a chuckle. "Little fish looks yummy." They teased. Eventually, they would reach Fotia. The airship landing in the upper district in a clearing near the mines. Surrounded by Fotian soldiers now the group was led to what looked like a well-crafted white building. "The alliance eh? I thought they were dead by now." The man inside said before ushering them to a stone round table room. "Alrighty..." The man had papers ready.
"What is everyone's names? How did you come by joining this alliance?" He asked, looking up under his glasses.
