Their floating almost ghostly form slowly turned to Lynn as she excitedly exclaimed her awe of the 'healing' spell just used. "Ah, that spell is a manipulation of various states within time. There is nothing a descendant cannot manipulate or manifest. I did both." Their words were almost secretive but also spoken with an air of confident truth. They then began to float upwards, approaching the middle of the encircling realm.
"We now reside within one of the broken realms within our world. Long ago when all was annihilated even the bridge between life and death was shattered. This is shattered limbo." This infinite sky realm had a name. While none felt different, some with more connections with the dead could feel or see presence all around. Floating off into the 'sun' and vanishing. "A fitting place to hide from even the all-seeing eye of the kingdoms." With that said they brought their staff before them once more.
"W-who am I? Who are you!" Kandix said as she stood to her feet, a look of shock on her face as she was no longer in any pain. She looked at her hands and a once-missing arm. "I was prepared to die in Fotia! Who are all of you to decide you're the saviors suddenly? Surely you want something in return.. You're working with such a powerful mage after all. All mages seek power in some way or another." She said eyeing the Mage floating above suspiciously and then to the others. "I respect some of your strength in battle! But I'm no traitor, I merely wish to see a change in my kingdom. One I'm willing to die to see!" The once desperate Kandixx was reinvigorated with a source of inner pride likely this was her personality before. Her clenched fist fell to her side. "But I do thank you..." Her expression grew soft as she looked away to the sunlight.
Behind her however was a looming shadow cast by a powerful aura similar to what was seen in the battle earlier. The soul of the Wyvern Queen cast a shadow over Kandixx before gently shrinking down to meet the size of the Queen's beautiful descendant form. Her jeweled scales reflected brightly in the light. She stood on the edge of the platform staring into the infinite sky. "My master is near." She spoke into the abyss to none in particular. Only to her own self and her heart as she held her hands to her chest and a tear shed down her cheek. "I pray to thee, lord. Do not have my children's deaths be in vain..." She then brought her arms outstretched and within a blink of an eye, they turned into sparkling scaled wings. She then kicked off and flew upward to meet the Mage.
Both remained face-to-face in the air. The masked Mage and the beautiful dragon queen looked into each other with a strange silent understanding. "So you can tell..." Said the Mage. "I will proceed as planned then." The Mage's staff's orb glowed with a bright power of multicolored dots within a black sphere. Their sphere then fired the energy of their orb into the 'sun'. It exploded into darkness, covering the sun and turning this bright blue sky into a dark space with the galaxies of space all around. "I call you master! Lord of Death! Restorer of balance! Nuxta!" The sky opened up as if breaking into pieces. The realm they stood in began to literally break away as they found themselves within minutes sucked into an actual sky. A dark one with thunderclouds and snow falling down massive pillars.
The group was now free-falling above a massive castle far too large for any descendant to live within. Only the roars of thunder and titanic creatures wrapped around the endless sky towers could be heard over the screaming winds. Only a platform below had an obvious place to land for them. Or else they would fly off into the mist into an unknown place with no land in sight.
The group was now in Nero.
