Protogonia, has had many names. Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Fae, Mythic Beasts, Spirits of Nature, beings of the underworld, and dragons were only some of the species living in this world. The matters of these creatures expand a countless number of centuries. All rich in history and advancements.
It was said that a part of creation's plan was to have a dichotomy representing its complexity. So every several million years a new being would be formed as a new aspect of its nature. Creating a new era, where these new beings would have to live in harmony with the others. This new being would however quickly become a God, and reduce the former gods and their followers to subjects. This is how all beings came into existence, and it was merely a cycle.
The reign of Dragons was at hand. For 100,000 years they ruled the lands with terrible force and the hoarding of precious treasures. All races were their servants and tasked with growing their desired wealth to no end. Unaware of the inevitable time limit of their godhood.
The first Seraph was a being of great beauty and grace. Capable of forming alliances with other races and forming a resistance to the Dragon Gods. Bringing together many different beings that otherwise would never form an alliance. Powerful allies made the Seraph grow in power, fulfilling the prophecy of a new god and a new era.
In defiance, the King of the Dragon Gods, Tevlanuit, unleashed a world-ending calamity. With the Seraph's newfound godhood, it formed a new land for its children and allies on Protogonia. Then it went to the heavens, vanishing with its most powerful offspring, to form a kingdom in the skies to one day return for its descendants remaining on the soil.
